Dagen (Swedish newspaper)

Dagen is a nationally published daily newspaper in Sweden. It is considered a Christian newspaper in Sweden, based in Stockholm. The first issue appeared on 1 November 1945. It was founded by the head of the Swedish Pentecostal movement Lewi Pethrus, who was also its editor until his death in 1974. Dagen represents all Christian communities and views and would like to give a broad view image, social aspects and faith aspects are in the foreground. About 60 employees work at the newspaper, which is published four times per week throughout Sweden. Currently, it has about 19,000 subscribers. It is published by TidningsAB Nya Dagen. The publisher is John Ottestad.
