Dagmar Lurz

Dagmar Lurz, married. Prott ( born January 18, 1959 in Dortmund, North Rhine -Westphalia) is a former German figure skater, which was launched in a single run.

Lurz trained with Erich Zeller in Oberstdorf, however, stepped up to at competitions for their home club ERC Westfalen Dortmund. In 1975, she played her first World Cup and European Championship. In 1977, she won her first of four consecutive German league titles and had her international breakthrough when she was behind Anett Pötzsch from the GDR to the Helsinki European silver medalist and 1977, won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Tokyo after the US-American Linda Fratianne and Pötzsch. At the European Championships 1978 in Strasbourg and in 1979 in Zagreb Lurz was again European silver medalist behind Pötzsch and finished both the 1978 World Cup in Ottawa, as well as at the World Championships in Vienna in 1979 to fourth place. 1980 was their most successful year. After they had become the fourth consecutive time German champion and in Gothenburg for the fourth consecutive time European silver medalist behind Anett Pötzsch, it succeeded in his hometown of Dortmund also vice World Champion behind Pötzsch and be still before Fratianne. At the Olympic Games in Lake Placid, she won the bronze medal behind its two main competitors.

Lurz was an excellent runner duty, in their time, the second best behind Anett Pötzsch. But she could also be two different triple jumps, Salchow and Rittberger, show that made them competitive. Nevertheless, they could not mitzulaufen in the short program and free skating at the front.

Dagmar Lurz - Prott studied medicine at the University of Cologne and has remained the figure skating as a point Judge faithful.
