Dagobertshausen is a borough of the university town of Marburg in Marburg- Biedenkopf in Hesse.
Geography
Dagobertshausen is located on the western slope of the Marburg back, in the direct interface to the Elnhausen -Michel Bacher sink that is already part of the west subsequent Gladenbacher Bergland and thus to the Rhenish Slate Mountains.
The Marburg 's city center is located only 5 km, the village of Marbach even in only 3 km air- line distance east-southeast, but clearly separated by the wooded ridge of the back of Marburg Dagobertshausen.
Neighboring villages within the Elnhausen -Michel Bacher valley are the two namesakes Elnhausen ( just over 1 km south-west ) and Michel Bach ( less than 3 km north-northeast ).
Halfway to Michel Bach located 1.5km northeast Behringwerke Görzhausen, 2 km south-east distance is Wehrshausen. Both must be already allocated to the Marburger back of their altitude ago, are, however, on this side of the comb.
North-north- west of the town rises the Elnhauser water that touches the outskirts west.
History
It is believed that the first manifestations of the village was founded in the 7th century as part of a large-scale deforestation.
First mentioned the village is in 1258 with the place name Debratshusin. Another mention is five years later than Dagebertshusen. The name could be due to the Frankish Merovingian King Dagobert I..
On December 31, 1971, until then an independent city was incorporated into the village of Marbach. This came on 1 July 1974 Marburg.
Infrastructure
In Dagobertshausen there is a retirement home, an orphanage for disabled children and young people, and a small playing field.
The village has no church of their own and after Elnhausen the parish (Protestant, like all western districts of Marburg ).
