History

The medieval to early modern history

The name is derived from the Slavic Dahlewitz Dolovica or Dolovec, settlement in the valley ( Schlimpert, 1972). 1305 via suitable Margrave Hermann patronage rights over the church in " Dolwitz " the Benedictine monastery Spandau. 1318 sold Margrave Waldemar 8 hooves in Dahlewitz Walter Havel country from which they then passed into the possession of the Berlin Marienkirche (see below).

After the land book of Charles IV of 1375, the village had 50 hooves, 4 of parish hooves of which were only 2 Freienhufen. Cuno Neither Ingen had 6 Freienhufen and had to pay for the Margrave vassals services. The mayor had also 6 Freienhufen, he had but to keep the Lehnspferd for Cuno Neither Ingen. Mr. John Albi, a clergyman in the Marienkirche in Berlin had for the altar, which he headed, 8 Freienhufen " with all the rights " ( " all were ... 8 mansos liberos cum omni jure, ..." ), but not the car services. But Nicholas and Jacob Sunde Sunde were allowed to collect the interest of the eight hooves of John Albi. An altar in St. Nicholas Church in Berlin were 5 Freienhufen. Each tributary hooves had to give in rent and 2 shillings in interest and 5 shillings Bede ( control ), which went to the castle Wusterhausen 8 bushels of rye and 8 bushels of oats. The Nicolaus Sunde, citizens in Berlin, the lease and the interest rate of 12 hooves of which 6 hides a fief of the taverns of Teupitz (?) ( " The Pincera " ), and 6 hooves were too, a fief of the were of Luckenwalde. Jacob Sune of Teupitz had land rental and interest of 11 feet. There were 8 Kossätenhöfe, of which only one was occupied. This gave the peasantry 1 shilling. The pitcher had the mayor to deliver charges 15 shillings and a half talent pepper. The Margrave had the high and low justice, the Bede and car services. Each hoof had half a bushel of rye, half a bushel of barley and half a bushel of oats to provide annual Bede to the castle Wusterhausen. The mill finally had to give 10 shillings to the Margrave's castle in Wusterhausen.

Beginning of the 15th century the village had come as a fief to the Konrad v. Schlieben, then even before 1428 the v. Wilmersdorf. 1450 were still some charges in the possession of the Marquis, who his master chef Ullrich Zeuschel pledged this year. 1450 and 1480 are the v. Willmersdorfer owner of the village and a now grown to 10 hooves manor. The patronage was in the years 1527/29 still at the monastery in Spandau. After the Reformation and the dissolution of the monastery, the patronage came to the family v. Otterstedt, which also includes the village had as a fief in the 16th century ( to 1785 ). After 1785 then followed by several rapidly changing owners.

The medieval village church

The rectangular stone church with cross- western tower and later grown Herrschaftsloge and vault at the Chorsüdseite stands on the village green. In all probability, the present church building (and not a predecessor ) was already 1305, when the church in Dahlewitz was first mentioned. The start of construction of the nave and west tower ( to eaves ) is therefore probably be dated to the end of the 13th century. Presumably, in the 15th of the West Tower was bricked up in two stages to its present height. In the second half of the 17th century a Herrschaftsloge was grown with underlying crypt on the south side. 1861 Interior with altar, pews, pulpit and baptismal font has been renovated. 1895 had to be renewed the woodwork of the tower. The tower was then still an acute, about 8.60 m high roof rider on the cross hipped roof. 1943/4, the church was badly damaged in air raids, the roof was destroyed. Until 1948, but the worst damage were eliminated again. 1964, the altar was redesigned in 1975, the stained glass windows were used in the Baroque window openings of the east side. In 1998 the churchyard wall was repaired.
