Dahmetal

Dahmetal is a municipality on the southeastern district of Teltow -Flaming (Brandenburg). It belongs to the Office Dahme / Mark, which has its headquarters in the town of Dahme / Mark.

Geography

Geographical Location

It is situated in the valley of the Lower Flaming Dahme, about 45 kilometers southeast of the county town of Luckenwalde.

Community structure

The municipality is divided into three districts:

  • Görsdorf with the inhabited parts of the municipality Liedekahle and Liebsdorf
  • Prensdorf
  • Wildau - Wentdorf

History

The municipality was created on 31 December 2001, from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Görsdorf, Prensdorf and Wildau - Wentdorf.

Liebsdorf Liedekahle was born on July 1, 1950, incorporated by Görsdorf on 1 August 1973.

Wildau and Wendtorf merged on 1 October 1962.

Policy

The municipal council consists of eight community representatives.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 12 April 2006.

Blazon: "In Green over golden valley diagonally left a silver wave beams accompanied by the figure of three right and left, two golden mill wheels. "

The coat of arms was designed by Frank heraldist Diemar.

Flag

The municipal flag is green - white - green ( 1:4:1 ) striped and centrally occupied with the municipal coat of arms.

Community partnership

The community Dahmetal maintains a partnership with the Polish rural community Kamieniec ( powiat Grodziski ).

Culture and sights

In the list of monuments in Dahmetal and the list of ground monuments in Dahmetal are registered in the list of monuments of the country Brandenburg cultural monuments. In the new mill Dahmetal takes place every summer a Summer of Culture.

Structures

Worth seeing are the stone churches in Görsdorf and Prensdorf from the 14th century and the late Romanesque village church in Wildau - Wentdorf from the 13th century. In the district of Wildau - Wentorf there are three water mills on the river Dahme.

Sports
