Daichi Suzuki

Daichi Suzuki (Japanese铃木 大地, Daichi Suzuki, born March 10, 1967 in Narashino ) is a former Japanese swimmers.

He was one of the first dorsal swimmers who tried a long immersion phase, their time to improve. At first he was the fastest swimmer on the first 25 meters, but then could not keep up with the world leaders on the remaining meters.

At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, his second at the Olympics after 1984, he was able to successfully apply these tactics and was about 100m backstroke Olympic champion.

Four years later, Mark Tewksbury applied their tactics also the Olympic victory over this distance.
