Daihatsu Coo

The Daihatsu Coo was first shown as a design study D-Compact Wagon in March 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show. In Japan, the minivan came before the introduction in Germany in March 2007 as the Daihatsu Materia and the same design as Toyota bB on the market. End of 2008, followed in Japan yet which also identical Subaru Dex. The Coo / Materia is to be regarded as the successor of Daihatsu YRV.

The car is based on the Daihatsu Boon at a length of 3800 mm, a width of 1690 mm and a height of 1635 mm. The wheelbase is 2540 mm. Thus, the vehicle is shorter than a VW Polo ( 3916 mm ), but about 17 centimeters higher.

It offers room for five people, has a 16 inches longitudinally adjustable rear bench seat, fold-down front seats and an extensive standard equipment with aluminum wheels, air conditioning, CD radio, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, and power windows front and rear. The small car -van is driven in the base version of a 1.3 - liter gasoline engine with 67 kW (91 hp). Alternatively, there is a 1.5 -liter gasoline engine with 76 kW ( 103 hp ); in conjunction with this unit also all-wheel drive is available. Prices began (as of June 2009) for the materialist 1.3 at 15,490 euros.

In September 2010, the import of materials to Europe was discontinued due to lack of success.
