Daihatsu Sirion

The Daihatsu Sirion is a subcompact car Japanese car brand Daihatsu. The model was introduced in early 1998 and is currently being built in the second and third generations.

The first as well as second-generation Sirion comes exclusively from Japanese production of Ikeda- work.

In the first generation, which was produced from January 1998, it was a sister model of the Daihatsu Storia. In December 2001, a facelift, in which the design of the small car has been refreshed. The subsequent generations of Sirion correspond to the contemporary Daihatsu Boon.

From September 2007 to September 2011 was the installation of the Sirion for some European markets in the work of the Hungarian Magyar Suzuki in Esztergom, where he curled up in identical Subaru Justy from the tape.

In Indonesia, however, the assembly of the Sirion did not begin until the following year, where he built the Astra Daihatsu Motor for the local market at its factory in Jakarta. Unlike in Europe, we finished the assembly there in May, because in July already, the first units of the third generation should be imported. Unlike the previous model generations, this comes from the production of the Malaysian automobile manufacturer Perodua. This is built in Serendah together with the identical Perodua Myvi and is currently exclusively intended for export to Indonesia. Outside Indonesia, only the second generation continues to be represented in the model program of the Japanese brand.
