Daihatsu YRV

The minivan Daihatsu YRV was produced from August 2000 to July 2005, based on the compact car Sirion.

The available 3.77 meters long and exclusively as a five-door car had in the high-order versions CXL and CXS a longitudinally displaceable by 15 inches rear seat. The YRV was powered either from a one- liter three-cylinder or a 1.3 -liter four- cylinder aspirated or turbocharged version; the transmission of power to the front wheels took a five -speed manual or a four-speed automatic. Upon request, a four-wheel drive was available.

Production was discontinued in the summer of 2005. In May 2006 ( Japan ) and in March 2007 ( Germany ) was brought by Daihatsu as a successor to the model Daihatsu Materia on the market.

Sales in Germany

In Germany, the YRV was unsuccessful. Daihatsu was here originally to sell 5000 cars per year, but this sales goal was never achieved.

The best seller among all engine was the 1.3 liter big sucker with 87 hp. This engine was sold over 4000 times. The 1.3 - liter turbo ( in Dtl. , And called Austria " GTti ") was, however, only 150 times imported, of which according KBA until 1 January 2006 exactly 136 copies were admitted. Physical identification of GTti was an air scoop on the hood, below which the intercooler was placed.

The GTti was only available in the colors yellow and silver, in addition, some special models in black. Otherwise, the YRV was to acquire in the paint Mars Red, White, Caribbean Blue Metallic and Silberrosé metallic.
