DaJuan Summers

DaJuan Michael Summers ( born January 24, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland ) is an American basketball player. He plays the position of forward. When NBA Draft 2009, he was drafted 35th by the Detroit Pistons. He attended Georgetown University in Washington DC and started there as a small forward.

High School

Summers attended the McDonogh School, a private school in Owings Mills. He reached in his junior season averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds and was Baltimore City Player of the Year. In addition, he was one of 21 high school players who were allowed to participate in 2006 at the Jordan All-American Classic.

College

After high school, Summers attended Georgetown University and played for the team from the University, the Georgetown Hoyas.

Freshman (2006/2007)

Summers was a member of the Big East as a freshman All- Rookie Selection and reached the Hoyas directly the Final Four, where they lost to the team of Ohio State University to Greg Oden. Still, it was the most successful season the Hoyas have long been, among other things, one was Big East champion.

Sophomore (2007/2008)

The Hoyas picked up the Regular Season titles, including Summers contributed 11.1 points and 5.4 rebounds. In the Big East Final, the Hoyas lost but against the University of Pittsburgh. Summers was appointed after the season to the NABC All- District Second Team.

Junior (2008/2009)

The Hoyas, led by Greg Monroe, only reached the first round of the Big East Tournament, although Summers, averaging 13.6 points and 4.1 rebounds played his best season. After the season, Summers left college early and signed up for the NBA Draft.

NBA

In the 2009 NBA Draft Summers was selected 35th by the Detroit Pistons. On August 7, he signed with the Pistons, he earned 457 588 U.S. dollars.

After two years with the Pistons, he moved to Montepaschi Siena in Italy, as a replacement for the migrant Malik Hairston. However, he played just four competitive games for Siena, before both sides of his contract broke up in early November. In the NBA season 2011/12 he was about two months at the New Orleans Hornets under contract.
