Daka ( Dakka Dekka, rare Deng or Tikk ) is one of the two languages which are spoken by the people of Chamba in Nigeria, the other language is called Chamba Leko and is not dakoide language.

Daka is a dialect continuum within the bantoiden languages. The Chamba dialect is Samba Daka ( Samba, tsamba, Tchamba, Sama, Jama or Daka, also Nakanyare ) and is spoken by 90 % of the Daka spokesman. Other dialects are Dirim ( Dirin or Dirrim ) Lamja, Dengsa and Tola. Dirim and Lamja - Dengsa -Tola have different language encodings, however, these idioms are occasionally also considered a dialect of Daka, since they are very close to the Samba Daka and thus can not be distinguished suffizient to provide their own language.

The dakoiden languages are named after the Samba Daka. Due to the dominance of English in Nigeria, which is valid since the British colonial period, the number of speakers of Samba Daka is on the wane.
