Dalberg, Rhineland-Palatinate

Dalberg is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Rüdesheim.

Geography

Dalberg is located in Gräfenbachtal in the Hunsrück. To the east is Wallenhausen, southwest and northwest is Argenschwang Spabrücken.

History

The castle of the lords of Dalberg was built around 1150/70.

Parish council

The local council in Dalberg consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Culture and sights

About Dalberg perched the ruins of Dalberg, formerly the seat of the Barons of Dalberg. The village has a small church from 1485 with a building from the 18th century. The church contains ancient wall paintings from the 15th century.
