Dalian Shide F.C.

Dalian Shide is a football club based in Dalian in China. The club plays in the top league in the country, the Chinese Super League. Play their home games, the club from the Jinzhou Stadium. The club is owned by the Shide Group from China. He is one of the most successful clubs in China.

Club history

The club was originally founded in 1982 as Dalian FC to replace the faltering second division club Dalian Dockyards. As of 1993 the club Dalian Wanda FC was called. Then in 1999 it was renamed Dalian Shide. Overall, the club previously won eight national championships, the last in 2005. The biggest international successes were each reaching the finals of the AFC Champions League 1998 and the Cup Winners' Cup competition in Asia in 2001. 2008 the club had a " spin-off " in the S-League in Singapore. After just one season, the club had to withdraw but again. Also in 2008 was the first club last renaming. The club now bears the name of Dalian Haichang. With space 14 is secured to the end of the 2008 season barely in the league.
