Dallas Bixler

Dallas Denver Bixler ( born February 17, 1910 in Hutchinson, Kansas, USA, † August 13, 1990 in Buena Park, California ) was an American Reck Turner, who in his career ( as an athlete ) just had a great success.

Life

Dallas Denver Bixler was born as a son of the pioneer aviator and protégé of the Wright brothers John Bixler. 1932, at the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles took Bixler the gold medal on high bar. It would be possible in the all -around competition entered, but moved in 1935 to a shoulder injury and had to give up career as an athlete, but nevertheless remained olympic active: He was appointed President of the Southern California Olympic Department. He also assisted the 1984 Olympic Organizing Committee. After he recovered from the severe injury, he was a banker, restaurateur and food consultant for the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. In 1965 he applied to the University of California, Los Angeles, got a teaching certificate and went on to teach there commercial cooking at different schools in Los Angeles. He died in 1990 in Buena Park, California.
