Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor

The Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor ( ROH ) is a special ceremony, which send the Dallas Cowboys especially deserved players. The Cowboys are an American football team in the National Football League ( NFL). In many team sports, it is common practice to lock the shirt numbers of players deserved after their career and will no longer be awarded as an expression of worship. Such a ceremony does not exist in Dallas. Especially deserving players are instead included in the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor. Your shirt number is not locked.

Access Requirements

Can be included former players, coaches and officials of the club. Entitled to vote is only one person, the respective team owners of the Cowboys or the CEO. Since 1989, the team is owned by Jerry Jones, who pronounce the honors since that time.

Ceremonial

The award is granted to an NFL game day, the have dedicated their former star player Bob Lilly Cowboys. Lilly was also the first person who was admitted to the illustrious circle. Subsequently Stadium, the former home of the Cowboys, the name was unveiled at a ribbon in Texas, which leads around the stage between lower tier and upper tier. Also in the new stadium for the Cowboys, the Cowboys Stadium, a tape was applied in 2009. The honors do not take place every year.
