Dam tot Damloop

The Dam is a dead Damloop taking place annually since 1985 Population and road race in the Netherlands. History

The idea of ​​a race between the central squares of the two cities, the Dam in Amsterdam and Zaandam, which runs through the tunnel under the IJ had Cees Lansbergen of Le Champion in 1981.

Route

Today's course, which is slightly different from the original, starts in the city center of Amsterdam on the Prinsengracht Hendrikkade and performs the IJtunnel first addition in a northwesterly direction from the city. He then continues west to Zandaam where the target is located in the Peperstraat. The 10 miles long route is almost completely flat.
