Damaris (biblical figure)

Damaris (Greek ἡ δάμαρ " wife ", " lover ", " wife " or " implored the people ") is a biblical figure who lived around the year 55 in Athens. It was converted by Paul's preaching at the Areopagus in Athens, as reported in Acts 17,34 EU. They probably acted as a courtesan of the audience.
