Dampier Strait (Papua New Guinea)

Geographical location

The Dampier Strait [ dæmpjə ] is a shipping route that connects the Bismarck Sea with the Salomonensee. It runs between the islands Umboi, the Knight Island and Sakar in the West and in the East New Britain.

The street was named after the British navigator William Dampier.
