Damsdorf
Damsdorf is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.
Geography and transport
Damsdorf is located on Stocksee about 22 km east of Neumünster and lakes in a rural environment. To the west runs the federal motorway 21 of Bad Segeberg to Kiel, north of State Road 430 from Neumünster to Plön.
A portion of the township is located in the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park.
History
Damsdorf was first mentioned in the 14th century. A grain and Graupenwindmühle was canceled in 1941 after a fire.
Policy
The voters Community WGD has since the municipal election 2013, all nine seats in the municipal council.

Economy
The gravel mining is a major source of income, just under half of its territory is used by gravel plants. Part of the gravel pits is renatured today.
