Damulog, Bukidnon

Damulog is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Bukidnon on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It has 25,538 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 17 barangays. It belongs to the fourth income class municipalities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized. It was in January 1972 with the entry into force of the Republic of the Philippines Act 6369 an independent administrative unit of a Municipality.

Your neighboring municipalities are Kibawe in the north, the west and Kadingilan Carmen in the province of Cotabato in the south. The community is located about 85 km southeast of the provincial capital Malaybalay City, some 178 km south of the regional capital of Cagayan de Oro. The topography of the parish is described as gently rolling plains. The name Damulog is derived from the word Ramulog, which means taking a bath in the language of the Manobo.

The Minlaya Falls are located in Sitio Minlaya, Poblacion, have a total drop of about 20 meters and a water pool of about 5 meters depth. The very distinctive Mount Pigtayuan protrudes about 80 meters out of the plane, its flanks have a slope of 30 to 50 percent. In the territory of the municipality there are numerous sources with small lakes as the Malingling source in Barangay Old Damulog that Lagasan and Kapiling source in Barangay New Compostela and the Pangantapan source in Barangay Migcawayan.
