Dan Bain

Donald H. Bain ( born August 15, 1874 in Belleville, Ontario; † August 15, 1962 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) was a Canadian ice hockey player and one of the first twelve members of the Hockey Hall of Fame in its inception in 1945.

His brief but intense career began in the 1894/95 season and ended the 1901/02 season at the Winnipeg Victorias. With them he was also 2 times (1896 and 1901 ) the Stanley Cup win. At this time the National Hockey League did not exist and you played in regional leagues. Bains Winnipeg team played in the Manitoba Hockey League.

Bains extraordinary talent was honored several times, so he is a member of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.

In 1949 he was honored with induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
