Dan Baird

Dan Baird ( born December 12, 1953 in San Diego, California ) is an American rock singer and guitarist. He is regarded as a typical representative of the Southern rock.

Life

Dan Baird grew up in Atlanta (Georgia), where he had played as a teenager in various local bands and sang. In 1980 he founded The Georgia Satellites, whose songs mostly written by him and with whom he released four albums. In the early 1990s he left the Satellites to start a solo career.

After his second solo album, he was co-founder of the Southern rock band The Yayhoos, with whom he released two albums on a large time interval.
