2007: Oceania champions - team sprint 2010: Australian Champion - Sprint and Team Sprint

Daniel Ellis ( born October 7, 1988 in Albury ) is an Australian racing cyclist and two-time runner-up Junior World Champion.

Daniel Ellis is a specialist for short-term events on the track, sprint, keirin and team sprint. By 2006 he was able to win multiple national junior titles and podiums in these disciplines. In 2006 he was also in Ghent Vice Junior World Champion in the sprint and the team sprint. In 2007 he won jointly with Ryan Bayley and Shane Kelly the title of Oceania Champion in the team sprint.

2010 Ellis was Australian champion in the sprint and the team sprint ( with Alex Bird and Gary Ryan ) in the Keirin, he finished in second place; Moreover, he was Oceania champions in the sprint. In the UCI Track World Championships 2010 in Ballerup the Australian team ended with Ellis Platz 7, in the sprint he was 18

At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 Daniel Ellis started in the team sprint; the team finished fourth. Two years later he won at the Commonwealth Games in the same discipline the gold medal.
