Dan Frost

Dan Frost ( born January 22, 1961 in Frederiksberg) is a former Danish cyclist who was particularly successful in track cycling.

Frost denied at the age of 13 years for the first time race. In 1985, he won the Danish Amateur Championship titles in the road race, the same year he won at the track - Cycling World Championships in Bassano del Grappa the bronze medal in the points race for amateurs. In the same discipline was inaugurated in 1986 in Colorado Springs World Champion. At the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul in 1988, he won the gold medal in the points race. In 1990, he won the Danish championship title in the time trial. In total he won during his cycling career 13 other Danish champions title, in the team time trial in the Team Pursuit, in the individual pursuit and points race. After he had only reached the 15th place in the points race at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, ​​he announced his retirement from cycling.

Since 2006, Frost is athletic director of the cycling team CSC Saxo Bank. He also leads the travel agent Dan Frost Cykelrejser ApS in Greve, which specializes in bicycle tours. The cyclist Ken Frost is his brother.
