Dan - Issa (also: Dan Issa ) is a rural municipality in the Department Madarounfa in Niger.

Geography

Dan - Issa is the major landscape Sudan and shares land borders with the neighboring state of Nigeria. The neighboring communities in Niger are Madarounfa in the West, Djiratawa in the northwest, the northeast and Tchadoua Aguie in the east. The municipality is divided into 61 administrative villages, 25 villages and 42 hamlets traditional. The main town of the rural community is the administrative village of Dan - Issa (also: Dan Issa ).

History

The rural community of Dan - Issa went as an administrative unit 2002 through the course of a nationwide administrative reform from the eastern part of the canton Madarounfa.

Population

At the 2001 census Dan - Issa had 54 290 inhabitants. For the year 2010 73.362 inhabitants were calculated.

Economy and infrastructure

The municipality is located in that narrow zone along the border with Nigeria, the Malawa to the east is from the west Tounouga, is operated in irrigated crop production for cash crops. By Dan - Issa runs the National Highway 9, which connects the village to the regional capital of Maradi and the border with Nigeria.
