Daniel Hoffard " Dan " Kennedy ( born July 22, 1982 in Fullerton, California ) is an American football player. He plays the position of goalkeeper, and currently stands at CD Chivas USA in Major League Soccer contract.

Career

Kennedy studied Communication Science and Sport Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. 2001-2004 he was keeper of the football team his college, UCSB Gauchos, and broke in this period, several team records, according to the record for most games without goals. In 2004 he was with the team after losing a penalty shoot-out against the team from Indiana University runner-up in the Division I Men 's College Cup.

In 2005 he was committed as the 38th player in the 4th round of the MLS SuperDraft by Chivas USA, but was initially loaned to the MetroStars New York and eventually moved to the Puerto Rico Islanders, where he was first-choice goalkeeper. In the 2007 /08 season he played for Deportes Iquique in the first Chilean league. In 2008 he returned to CD Chivas USA and was here again goalkeeper; the entire 2009 season, however, he had to suspend verletzungsbesingt. Meanwhile he is also captain of the team.
