Dan Lydiate ( born December 18, 1987 in Llandrindod Wells ) is a Welsh rugby union player who is used as a winger or number eight. He is active Newport Gwent Dragons for.

Lydiate began his professional career in 2006 at the Dragons, before he had played for Pontypool and Ebbw Vale. He was injured in 2007 in the Heineken Cup and fell hard for the rest of the season. In November 2009, he was nominated for the first time for the Welsh national team. Against Argentina he came to his debut.
