Dan Majerle

Daniel Lewis Majerle ( surname is Marlee pronounced) ( born September 9, 1965 in Traverse City, Michigan ) is a retired American professional basketball player and coach.

Sports career and career

In his youth Majerle played in the Traverse City High School. He spent the period of study at Central Michigan University ( CMU), where he participated as part of a college selection team at the 1988 Olympics in the men's basketball and took his team bronze. Subsequently, also in 1988, he was drafted as the 14th pick in the NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, where he matured over the following seven seasons to support the team. This was made possible by his consistent performances in the points section, his train to the basket and especially its impressive, often game-winning three -point throws.

On October 7, 1995 Majerle was submitted along with Antonio Lang in exchange for John Williams to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Private and updates

Dan Majerle is married and father of three children ( two daughters and a son). He is the operator of the restaurant " Majerle 's Sports Bar and Grill" in downtown Phoenix, near the U.S. Airways Center (formerly America West Arena). In addition, he regularly takes part in charity events, working as a sports commentator and cares about his fans.

The career as a sports commentator Majerle ended in June 2008 after four successful seasons and is one of four new assistant coaches for the Phoenix Suns. It is Majerles first as a coach.
