Dana Vollmer

Dana Vollmer ( born November 13, 1987 in Granbury, Texas) is an American swimmer.

Career

Vollmer lives in Gainesville / Florida. She trained at the University of Florida, where she also studied medicine. Due to a chronic disease can Vollmer's heart suddenly stop, so she is forced to constantly carry a defibrillator with them. She was invited at the age of 12 years as the youngest swimmer of all time at the U.S. Trials for the 2000 Olympic Games, but could not qualify.
