Geography
Dane is located in south central Wisconsin, in the northern suburban area of the capital, Madison. Located on the Mississippi intersection of the three states of Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois is located 150 km south-west.
The geographical coordinates are 43 ° 15'02 Dane " north latitude and 89 ° 30'05 " west longitude. The municipality covers an area of 2.95 km ². The town is completely surrounded by the Town of Dane, without belonging to it.

Traffic
The Wisconsin State Highway 113 leads in west-east direction as the main road through the center of Dane. All other roads are minor roads, some unpaved roadways and within local roads.
In northwest-southeast direction, a railroad line of the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad ( WSOR ) runs through the urban area of Dane. This is a regional (Class II ) Freight transportation company.
The nearest airport is Dane County Regional Airport in Madison (25 km southeast).
Population
