Danger Iceland (English as danger Island) is the most southwestern island of the Great Chagos Bank location (large Chagosbank ), which has the world's most extensive atoll structure. The island belongs geographically to the Chagos Archipelago and politically to the British Indian Ocean Territory.

The flat island is about 2 km long, has an area of 0.66 km ² and is overgrown with tall coconut trees. The name was created by the fact that you can anchor off the island difficult. Thus, a visit to this island for the ship and the crew was always associated with risk.

Danger Iceland was never inhabited continuously. Approximately 1750-1950 were occasionally Chagossians, who were at home on another island, brought to Iceland Danger to collect coconuts there.
