Dani Kouyaté

Dani Kouyaté ( born June 4, 1961 in Bobo-Dioulasso, Upper Volta, now Burkina Faso ) is a film director from the West African nation of Burkina Faso.

He comes from a family of griots and is the son of actor Sotigui Kouyaté. Kouyaté began his training at the Institut africain d' études cinématographiques in Ouagadougou and continued them at the Sorbonne. After several short film productions was in 1995 with Keïta!
