Daniel Bahr
Daniel Bahr ( * November 4, 1976 in Lahnstein ) is a German politician ( FDP). From May 2011 to December 2013 he was the Federal Minister of Health. Previously, he was since October 2009, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Health. Until the Bundestag election in 2013 Bahr was a member of the German Bundestag and 1999-2004 National Chairman of the Young Liberals and 2010-2012 state chairman of the FDP North Rhine -Westphalia.
Education and work
Daniel Bahr was born in 1976 as son of a policeman in Lahnstein. After graduation in 1996 at the Immanuel-Kant -Gymnasium in Münster, he served from 1996 to 1998 trained as a banker at Dresdner Bank in Schwerin and Hamburg. Starting in the winter semester 1998/99 he studied economics at the Westfälische Wilhelms- University ( WWU ) Münster and graduated with a Bachelor of Science ( BSc ) from. A part-time business management degree with a focus on International Healthcare and Hospital Management, also in EMU, he concluded in addition to his political work in 2008 as a Master of Business Administration ( MBA). Bahr joined in 1990 as a 14 - year-old student of the Young Liberals ( JuLis ). He became a member of the FDP in 1992. 1994 Bahr became chairman of the JuLi district association Munsterland and held this office until 1996.
