Daniel Bedingfield

Daniel Bedingfield ( born December 3, 1979 in Auckland, New Zealand ) is a pop singer who is particularly successful in the UK.

Biography

His parents emigrated shortly after his birth from New Zealand to London.

Daniel has a total of three siblings, with his younger sister Natasha Bedingfield also launched a music career in 2004. Together with her and his sister Nikola, he already in his youth under the band name The DNA Algorithm on in church.

His musical career began at the end of the year 2001, when his first single, Gotta Get Thru This, which he had recorded in his bedroom and released on a small independent label, place 1 in the UK Charts. Daniel Bedingfield signed a contract with Polydor and then in 2002 released his debut album, which also bore the name Gotta Get Thru This. A total of five other songs on this album were not released as a single, two of which again reached number one in the UK, If You're Not the One in 2002 and Never Gonna Leave Your Side 2003. In the U.S., Daniel Bedingfield reached as the highest chart position # 10 with his first single in Germany, he came not into the higher ranks chart.

On 2 January 2004, he suffered serious injuries in a car accident in New Zealand.

In November 2004, followed by his second album Second First Impression, from the far three singles were released. Despite good chart positions in the UK, he could not repeat the success of his first album.
