Daniel Borel

Daniel Borel ( born February 14, 1950 in Neuchâtel ) was in 1981, co-founder of Logitech and a member of the management. From 1982 to 1988 Daniel Borel was the management of Logitech SA Romanel -sur- Morges, Switzerland, before. Since 1998 he has been Chairman of Logitech International. He moved production capacity to Asia. Work about 260 employees in 2006 about 6000, in Switzerland in Asia. In 1992 he moved to America, where he was Chairman and CEO of Logitech group.

Daniel Borel graduated from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne ( EPFL ) and graduated from Stanford University, a master's degree in Computer Science. The ETH Lausanne in 1992 awarded him an honorary doctorate.

Daniel Borel stepped back end of December 2007 as Chairman of Logitech. His successor is Guerrino De Luca.

12 January 2008 Borel won the Swiss Award in the business category.
