Daniel da Mota

Daniel da Mota Alves ( born September 11, 1985 in Ettelbrück ) is a Luxembourgian football and National player.

The son of Portuguese immigrants is a striker for F91 Dudelange Luxembourg first division. The beginning of 2007 he took part in the Luxembourg nationality. On 2 June 2007 he made ​​his international debut for Luxembourg in the European Championship qualifier in Albania (0:2). Previously, he played 40 A - internationals.

He started his footballer career in the youth of Etzella Ettelbrück and stood in the 2002/2003 season for the first time in the squad of the then Luxembourg second division. In the season 2006/ 07 he was charged with 26 goals scorer in the National Division. After 133 games and 77 goals in the National Division for Etzella Ettelbrück he joined in the summer of 2008 for € 45,000 to the Luxembourg champion F91 Dudelange.

In 2011 he was elected Footballer of the Year in Luxembourg.

His four years younger brother David is also football player and followed him a year after his move to F91 Dudelange.
