Daniel Edward Thomas

Daniel Edward Thomas ( born June 11, 1959 in Philadelphia ) is Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia.

Life

The archbishop of Philadelphia, Cardinal John Joseph Krol, ordained him a priest on May 18, 1985.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 8 June 2006 as Titular Bishop of Floriana and Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia. The archbishop of Philadelphia, Cardinal Justin Francis Rigali, donated to him on July 26th of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were John Patrick Foley, president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, and Edwin Frederick O'Brien, Archbishop of the United States military.
