Daniel Elsner

Daniel Elsner ( born January 4, 1979 in Memmingerberg ) is a former German tennis player.

Career

Elsner celebrated his greatest successes yet in the juniors, he was regarded at that time as a potential successor to Boris Becker. He won the 1996 U.S. Open juniors and stood in it for the other three Grand Slam tournaments in the junior final. He was able to decide in his favor the Australian Open and the French Open also, in the Wimbledon final he lost to Wesley Whitehouse.

In his early professional career in 1997 he could no longer continue our success. He reached the 92nd place in the world rankings as the best placement on 23 October 2000.
