Daniel Gauthier

Daniel Gauthier ( born May 17, 1970 in Charlemagne, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played on the position of the center. In the National Hockey League, he completed five games for the Chicago Blackhawks and in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga total of ten games for the Frankfurt Lions and Wedemark Scorpions. From 2010 to 2012, he stood at the VEU Feldkirch in the Austrian National League under contract.

Career

Daniel Gauthier began his career in 1986 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he played one season with the Longueuil Chevaliers and then spent three seasons with the Victoriaville Tigres. In 1988, the striker in the NHL Entry Draft, the annual talent contraction of the NHL, selected in the third round by the Pittsburgh Penguins, graduated in the NHL (1994 /95) but only five games for the Chicago Blackhawks, where he point and remained unpunished.

1990/91 he laced up skates for the Knoxville Cherokees of the ECHL, scoring 138 points in 63 games. In the same season he was also for a game at the Albany Choppers of the International Hockey League on the ice and scored a goal. Then he stood on the ice, first in Muskegon and after their relocation in Cleveland two years for the Lumberjacks. He then played one season for the Cincinnati Cyclones and two for the Indianapolis Ice, also in the IHL.

Before Gauthier moved to Europe, he still went for ten games for the Peoria Rivermen on the ice and completed in the 1996/97 season for the Frankfurt Lions and Wedemark Scorpions total of ten games where he reached two points. He finished the season with the VEU Feldkirch in the Austrian Hockey League, for whom he ran aground a total of two and a half seasons in the ÖEL and European Hockey League. Then he moved to Switzerland, where he played three years for the SC Langnau before he played again in the ranks of the VEU Feldkirch.

2004 played the Canadians at the HC Asiago in Italy, but returned even during the season in the Austrian Hockey League, where he joined the EC VSV. In addition, he completed a game for the EC Dornbirn in the National League, but otherwise played until 2008 for the SV Villach before it ran aground two seasons in the Canadian Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey for Saguenay. From 2010 to 2012, he was in the squad VEU Feldkirch. On March 17, 2012, he announced his resignation in a TV interview with ORF.
