Daniel Hackett

Daniel Lorenzo Hackett ( born December 19, 1987 in Forlimpopoli, Emilia -Romagna ) is an Italian professional basketball player. With Montepaschi Siena in 2013, he won the Italian league and cup double in competition.

Career

Hackett is the former NBA player Rudy Hackett 's son. He was born in Forlimpopoli, but grew up in Pesaro. Later he attended St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower ( California). He then went to study at the University of Southern California, where he played with the high school team Trojans in the former Pacific -10 Conference of the NCAA. His former teammates were among the later NBA player OJ Mayo by 2008 and Taj Gibson, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vučević, with whom he won the 2009 championship tournament the Pac-10. With the Trojans, he participated at each of the nationwide NCAA finals, the furthest advance was reaching the second round "Sweet Sixteen " in 2007. After the championship win in the Conference itself Hackett reported after three years in which he could improve his personal statistics, respectively, ahead of the 2009 NBA Draft, where he was not selected.
