Daniel Hubmann

Daniel Hubmann ( born April 16, 1983 in Eschlikon ) is a Swiss orienteers.

Daniel Hubmann is the most successful Swiss orienteer. He is a trained carpenter, since 2007 a ​​professional orienteer. He was known primarily for his double victory at the Junior World Championships ( JWOC ) in 2002. The Swiss Sports Aid Foundation awarded him then as a junior athlete of the year 2002. In the same year he was athlete of the year in the canton of Thurgau. Among his biggest successes, the four overall World Cup victories (2008 to 2011), the World Championship title over the long distance in 2008 and 2009 and the world title in the Sprint 2011.
