Daniel Kandlbauer

Daniel Kandlbauer (born 16 June 1983) from Grindelwald was second in the second season of the Swiss talent show Music Star, claiming since then in the Swiss music scene as a rock musician.

Biography

Kandlbauer grew, except for three years spent in America, in Grindelwald on. Daniel's mother Debbie and his brother Freddie stay in Interlaken. Daniel Kandlbauer graduated from the business school Thun- Schadau using professional Vocational and was incidentally frontman of the hard rock band Crossfade from Grindelwald. There he gained his first studio experience and took his first two albums, " Through the tunnel to the light " and " Shame? " On. After his success at Music Star to Crossfade broke up, under the name " Nortody » play Dani's old band comrades now back.

Career

With the intention to get a record deal and thus finally to make a living from his music, Daniel Kandelbauer reported on for the second season of Star Music. He came to the finals on 26 February 2005 but which then won from the Valais Salome Clausen.

On July 23, published in 2005, Daniel Kandlbauer his first single " Maybe in Heaven", which was also placed third in the Swiss charts. On August 20, followed by his album "Home", this rose directly on the first place in the Swiss charts.

Daniel Kandlbauer started in the summer of 2005 his home tour with the band " Burrell " by Reto Burrell, the producer of "Home". He sang along with Marc Sway, Kisha and Tanja Dankner the official Olympic song of Switzerland, " We are on fire " for Torino 06 and took along with Polo Hofer, Sina and Sandee the " Switzerland's biggest hit of all time ", " Alperose " scratch. For the Hockey Season 07/ 08 Daniel Kandlbauer wrote the official song for the Hockey National League A " Power on Ice " which was recorded each arriving the Topscorers in the stadiums.

On 4 January 2008 the third Kandlbauer album was released with the title "The shades of light". It is quieter and more melancholy than the previous two Kandlbauer discs. Also on board are again the former " Burrell » Band members Toby Bachmann and Cyrill Camenzind. On this album, among other things, a new version of Uriah Heep classics " Lady in Black " is heard. Ken Hensley, founding member, guitarist and keyboardist for Uriah Heep, sang this song in 1971. Spite of several requests from different, sometimes famous artists, he agreed only Daniel Kandlbauer proposal to re-record together, " Lady in Black ". Hensley stated that he had in this project for the first time feel like it counts the music and not just financial success. 37 years after the first publication of " Lady in Black " Hensley said, "If I die, then he wears the Lady on! Daniel Kandlbauer is also active on the musical stage: From 2009 to 2011, he played the lead role of " Daneli " in Swiss musical Ewigi Liebi. Currently, he plays the male lead " Nick Hurley " in the German premiere of the musical Flashdance at Le Théâtre Kriens -Luzern.
