Daniel Kipchirchir Komen

Daniel Kipchirchir Komen ( born November 27, 1984 in Chemorgong, Koibatek District, Rift Valley) is a Kenyan middle and long distance runner who is counting on the 1500 -meter distance from the world top.

The African Vice - junior champion in 5000 -meter run in 2003 occurred in 2004 for the first time in Europe in appearance, where he min to 1500 m in 3:34,66 and the 5000 m run in 13:16,26 min.

With time of 3:30,01 min above 1500 m, 3:48,49 min in the mile run and 7:31,98 min more than 3000 m, it was considered one of the favorites at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005, but where he at forward failed. Later in the season, however, he won in three IAAF Golden League meetings, including the ISTAF in Berlin, where he stayed with 3:29,72 min for the first time under three and a half minutes.

In 2006 he won silver at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow and ran with the Weltjahresbestzeit 3:29,02.

At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, he failed in the semifinals, but also returned at the World Indoor Championships 2008 in Valencia, where he again won the silver medal.
