Daniel Lopes

Daniel Lopes (born 12 November 1976) is a German pop singer. A wide audience he was through his participation in the first season of the talent show Germany seeks the superstar known in the winter of 2002 /2003.

Biography

Career

Lopes grew up in the Brazilian city of Recife. When he was five years old, his father died. Four years later, his thirteen- year-old sister died in a car accident. At the age of 15 years he moved with his mother and his older brother to Germany and lived in Schloss Holte. His mother remarried and Lopes was adopted by his stepfather. After finishing high school, he trained as an insurance salesman.

As a 10 - year-old he learned through self-study, piano and guitar playing, and played from then on in the youth band Crazy Boys that was regionally successful by its own account. In Germany he received after his participation in an audition as part of the Model '97 competition face a first author contract.

Germany sucht den Superstar

A career move, he managed 2002/2003 with his participation in the first season of the talent show Germany sucht den Superstar (DSDS ), the German television station RTL. Then he put on several qualifying rounds in the final of the top ten. Finally, he had to retire on January 11, 2003 from the competition and came in the final scoring seventh place.

Along with the other finalists, he took the end of 2002 on the single We Have a Dream, and the compilation United. Single and album each reached the top of the German charts and in 2003 the best-selling records of the year.

Later career

Immediately after leaving American Idol Lopes received a recording contract. Even as the first season went, came in February 2003, his debut single Shine On on the market and shortly afterwards an album. With the single, he joined the German charts.

However, the mis-matched with the producers of the broadcast publication led to the exclusion of the joint tour of all the American Idol finalists. The Parts of Lopes was deleted from all tracks on the album except the United advance the decoupled single We Have a Dream.

His second single, as well as a reinterpretation of the Wham! Classic Last Christmas for the Christmas 2003 failed chart success.

2004 Lopes was seen as a participant in the reality show Die Alm, which aired on ProSieben. In the same year he performed at RTL Celebrity Boxing against the actor Dustin rye bread and lost by technical knockout in the third round.

After a party in St. Tropez, he developed with Bob Sinclar his passion for house and electro music. Since then he has worked in the house and electro scene as a songwriter, DJ and MC.

In 2011, he was seen as a candidate in the RTL show Supertalent, reaching in the show on 29 October 2011, the second round. The live shows he did not reach for a forgotten text passage in the song Hero by Enrique Iglesias. 2012 Lopes took on the sixth season of the RTL reality show I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! part, however, was selected as the first candidate out of the audience. Then moved to Brazil Lopes to make music there.

Lopes is the father of a son.
