Daniel Louis

Daniel Louis ( born October 12, 1953 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada ) is a Canadian film producer and production manager.

Life and achievements

In his over 25 - year career he worked as a production manager in about 20 films and has produced over 35 films, including the Oscar-winning tragicomedy The Barbarian Invasions (2003) by director Denys Arcand with Rémy Girard in the lead role and the Hockey Maurice Richard film by director Charles Binamé with Roy Dupuis in the title role.

Louis won the 1992 Daytime Emmy Award for Vincent and I for Outstanding Children's Special. In 2004 he was nominated for a BAFTA Award for The Barbarian Invasions for Best Foreign Language Film. A Prix Jutra 2004 he received for The Barbarian Invasions Best Picture. A nomination for this award in 2006 there were Maurice Richard Best Picture.

When Genie Award he won the 2002 Golden Reel Award for Nuit de noces. Followed in 2004, this award for The Barbarian Invasions Best Picture. 2005 Louis was nominated for Ma vie en cinémascope Best Picture for a genius. 2007, there was a nomination at the 27th Genie Awards for Maurice Richard Best Picture.
