Daniel McKinnon (ice hockey)

Daniel Duncan McKinnon (* April 21, 1922 in Williams, Minnesota ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player.

Career

Daniel McKinnon attended from 1947 to 1950, the University of North Dakota. He then took part in the World Championships in 1955 and 1958 and at the Winter Olympics 1956 in Cortina d' Ampezzo for the U.S. ice hockey team. At the Winter Games in 1956 he won the silver medal with his team. Following his international career he was active in amateur hockey, had his career after a serious hunting accident, in which a portion of one of his hands was amputated in 1958 but quit prematurely. He was inducted in 1982 AND Sports Hall of Fame.
