Daniel Powter

Daniel Richard Powter [ ˌ dænjəl paʊtɚ ] ( born February 25, 1971 in Vernon, British Columbia ) is a Canadian pop musician.

Biography

Powter grew up in the Okanagan Valley. As a child he began to play the violin, but quickly switched to the piano. His first band he founded at the age of 18 years.

On 14 February 2000 appeared in Canada Powters debut album could be heard from the two songs in the TV series Higher Ground. Together with producer Jeff Dawson and Mitchell Froom was created in 2004 his second album Daniel Powter. With the album he reached France in the top 15 of the album charts; the resulting single from the Bad Day rose to # 1 on the airplay charts. In the spring of 2005 he was able to repeat this success in Switzerland approximate. In June 2005 Powters single finally reached the German charts.

September 19, 2008 his third album, Under the Radar appeared in Germany. The first single, entitled Next Plane Home, was released on September 12.

He is the father of a daughter born in 2003.

In 2010, Powter released his album Best of Me The coupled- Singles Lose to Win, Fall In Love ( The Day We Never Met ) and Come Home were successful in Asia.
