Daniel Rincón

José Daniel Rincón Quintana ( born December 4, 1975 in Duitama ) is a Colombian road racing cyclist.

Daniel Rincón began his career in 1997 at the Colombian cycling team Lotería de Boyaca. As of the 2001 season, he went 05 Orbitel for the team. In his first year there, he was Colombian Champion in the road race and he won the overall title of the Clasica de Alcaldía Pasca. He was the first overall Clasica de Fusagasuga, Pan-American champion in the road race in 2002 and he won the third leg of the Clásico RCN. The next year he was successful in a section of the Vuelta a Colombia, as well as 2005. 2004 he went a season for U.S. Postal Service - Berry Floor. In the 2006 season Rincon won the team time trial at the Vuelta a Colombia and the first stage of the Clasica Club Deportivo Boyacá. A year later he won with Colombia it Pasión team two stages at the Vuelta a Cundinamarca and so could the Appreciation decide for themselves. He was also first overall in the Clasica Club Deportivo Boyacá and he won the first stage of the Vuelta a Boyaca. In 2008 he won a stage and the overall classification at the Clasica Club Deportivo Boyacá and the Clasica Internacional Marco Fidel Suárez. In addition, he was successful in portions of the Clasica de guarne and the Vuelta a Boyaca. In the 2009 season he won the prologue and the Appreciation of the Clasica de Alcaldía Pasca, as well as a stage of the Vuelta a Cundinamarca.

Daniel Rincón is a younger brother of Oliviero Rincon, who was professional from 1990 to 1998 and won, among other stages in the Tour de France, the Vuelta a España and the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré.
