Daniel Sarmiento Melián ( born August 25, 1983 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain ) is a Spanish handball player. He is 1.86 m tall and weighs 76 kg.

Sarmiento, who for the Spanish club FC Barcelona ( shirt number 11) plays is mostly used on the back Space Center.

Daniel Sarmiento began in his hometown with the handball game. Later he joined the biggest club in his native island, CBM Gáldar, for whom he made ​​his debut in the League ASOBAL.
