Daniel Schaefer

Schaefer served from 1955 to 1957 in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1961. After Schaefer attended from 1961 to 1964, the University of Potsdam in Potsdam (New York).

From 1977 to 1978 Schaefer was a member of the House of Representatives from Colorado. Then he sat from 1979 to 1983 in the Senate of the State. 1983 Schaefer moved in the U.S. Congress after he had won one, made necessary by the death of Jack Swigert election. Schaefer represented there now as a Republican on March 29, 1983 to January 3, 1999 the state of Colorado in the House of Representatives of the United States; last he reached in 1996 with 62.2 percent of the vote against the re-election Democrat Joan Fitz- Gerald. In the elections to the 106th Congress in 1998, he opted not to run again.
